The Harry Somers Recording Project

Recording projects underway
Recordings available at CMC

It is extremely important now, while Somers is still strongly in the memory of his fellow musicians and friends, that his music be recorded to protect and preserve it for posterity and to bring it to a larger public. Only those who knew him and worked on his music with him will have the insight to protect the legacy of this great individual - to pass it down to the future generations of musicians in Canada and abroad.

To this end, several of Somers' close associates, individuals who worked with him regularly, have joined forces to oversee the recording of his music. An aggressive fundraising campaign is underway (see letter below) and tax deductible receipts will be issued.
